November Poetry & Music at Chroma Studios

November is going to be another wonderful, fun filled month here at Chroma Studios! We have our monthly 1st Friday Artist Opening, a couple of concerts, a poetry "Drag Slam" and something new, a storyteller!

November Events:
  • Tuesday, Nov. 3rd, 6pm: San Jose Poets David and Jenn. Group Piece Writing Workshop (Open to all age, skill, and interest levels) and Performance to follow workshop. World class poets, sharing priceless information and window in to, team writing, if you've been on a team, want to be on a team, or want to instruct group writing, come learn how! $10 suggested donation, or 2 cans of food, 1st 10 people under 21 to RSVP are free.              

  • Thursday, Nov. 5th, 7pm: Intimate Concert Series continues with Bayou Seco. You will hear old Cajun music, New Mexican dance tunes and songs, cowboy songs, and fiddle tunes from the Tohono O'Odham people of Southern Arizona, all played with authenticity and joy. Expect soaring, stellar vocals from Jeanie, growling wool from Ken -Crack fiddling, banjo and guitar, rollicking accordion, cowboy prairie rhymes and ballads, and plenty hijinx from these veterans of the folk music world. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door.   • Friday, Nov. 6th, 6-10pm: First Friday Art Opening with featured artist, Betty Dore, and her show "Mostly Koi". We also have many new works by our gallery artists and a couple of NEW gallery artists. Live music in the performance space with

  • Friday, Nov. 13th, 6pm: Poetry Drag Show and  Z. Kluckman CD Release Party. Male poets from ABQ scene will read women's poetry in drag to benefit our female rep's trip to WOW the women of the world slam! $10 suggested donation, or 2 cans of food, nobody turned away until we fill up, this show will fill up! Come early!

  • Saturday, Nov. 14th, 7pm: Intimate Concert Series with Storyteller, Susi Wolf. "Peeling Life Makes Your Eyes Water".  Performance is for adults only due to mature content. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door.

  • Friday, Nov. 20th, 7pm: Intimate Concert Series continues with Aaron Lewis, classical guitarist playing original compositions. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door.
Closed on Thanksgiving day, but will open Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.
