Selections @Berfrois to read while waiting for 2014 #PWPicnicReunion

Russell Bennetts and Daniel Tutt interview Simon Critchley
Shakespeare isn't a philosopher. Shakespeare is someone who leaves us in the dark as to what reality might be. What we get instead is an experience of ambiguity and opacity. Love is where we end up and it's this activity that Hamlet doesn't possess.  More

Post It Note #Poets from @VocesAuthors via @HakimBe

…A Voces 2014 Production. Want more? Don't FREE End-of-Program performance 7 pm TONIGHT Friday, June 27

Published on Jun 23, 2014

There was a Friday. In fact, it was the first Friday of the Voces program. Seems like years ago. Armed with only markers and Post It Notes...we told a story of what a world of Post It Note prophets would look like....

Word by word, we wrote one by one and painted the National Hispanic Cultural Center in a confetti composition.

Here is the end result. We hope to see you at our FREE End-of-Program performance on Friday, June 27th at 7pm. Come see what we've been working on all summer.

Let us know you are coming on...

Announcing 2014 @PWPicnic Reunion at #Mountainair #SunflowerFestival

Dale and workshop group reading '09

…prefaced by a nostalgia trip, reblogging a 2010 post announcing what turned out to be the last picnic until this year: picnickery among sunflowers. Expect more. Besides those who remember the Picnic, there's a new crew to initiate and educate. The short version: a day of poetry and music in the Shaffer Hotel Garden: go through the gate and meet us at the Gazebo

After comings and goings, the Picnic list is set, if not totally proof against the vagaries of fate. What is? Close enough to call for now. This 13th annual Picnic, emceed by Kenneth Gurney and Dale Harris (who also perform), features poetry and prose readings, live music and a group slam performance.

ABQ #Poet @ZacharyKluckman needs your love…vote too

…and writes, Hola friends,
I find myself in a strange sorta place today, lol…an exciting and nerve-wracking one to be sure, lol. This year I was nominated for TWO National Poetry Awards (sort of the Grammy's for poets) ~ for Slam Artist of the Year and Slam Organizer of the Year ~ needless to say, I am beyond honored to be recognized with the nominations. I like to think this is a testament not only to hard work and a passion for poetry, but also a testament to the influence and creativity of New Mexico's poets and organizers who have challenged and inspired me daily.
Now, I would like to humbly ask for your support ~ as silly as I feel asking, this is the process, so will you please vote for me?
