An invitation to the Albuquerque launch of a new collaborative work by Neil de la Flor & Maureen Seaton: Sinéad O'Connor and Her Coat of a Thousand Bluebirds, Winner, Sentence Book Award, Firewheel Editions, 2011. Sunday, June 24, 2012, 3 PM at Acequia Booksellers (needs to update its Events page!)4019 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107. 505 890-5365.

Neil de la Flor is a teacher, writer, editor, and multidisciplinary artist born and raised in South Florida. His other publications include Almost Dorothy (Marsh Hawk Press, 2010), winner of the Marsh Hawk Press Poetry Prize; Facial Geometry (NeoPepper Press, 2006), co-authored with Maureen Seaton and Kristine Snodgrass; and Two Thieves and a Liar (Forthcoming, Jackleg Press, 2012), also co-authored with Maureen Seaton & Kristine Snodgrass.

Maureen Seaton is the author of fifteen poetry collections, both solo and collaborative--most recently, Stealth, with Sam Ace (Chax Press, 2011); and Genetics (Jackleg, 2012); and of a memoir, Sex Talks to Girls (University of Wisconsin Press, 2008, Living Out Series), winner of the Lambda Literary Award. She is co-editor, with Denise Duhamel and David Trinidad, of Saints of Hysteria, A Half-Century of Collaborative American Poetry.

Ed. Note: As for lateness, good intentions and all that.... both and more (including circumstances beyond my control) are all there. In the best of all possible worlds, I'd have more time, fewer distractions and a faster internet connection. Beaches too. In the meantime, I'll work with what I've got and ask forbearance. Fortunately, there are many announcing, notifying, reminding, calendaring... if one or more drop the ball, there are others to catch and pass it on.
