Picnic founder and re-animator Dale Harris sent out simultaneous multiple email notices, so the basic information has been out and about on most if not all NM poetry announcement outlets ~ fortuitously so as I am White Rabbit late getting to the PWP Reunion.To keep it from being more of the same, I "added value" by packing the post with (mostly missing) links, moving the (sponsoring) art council's Sunflower Festival poster to the bottom of the page, opening with Pop Shaffer's "wild folk art" gate, and otherwise tweaking copy and layout to minimize the old déjà vu all over again.
Poets, writers and aficcionad@s of spoken word are cordially invited to the Poets & Writers Picnic Reunion Saturday August 23 from noon to 5 pm in the Shaffer Hotel Garden in Mountainair? Just look for the iconic gate and gazebo!
Please join us for a revival of this popular literary event again held concurrently with the annual Mountainair Sunflower Festival. Sponsored by the Manzano Mountain Art Council and The Malpaís Review Poetry Quarterly, the event is replete with live music, featured readers, a rolling open mic plus book signings and sales. Some of your favorite poets & writers will be there, We hope you will be too!
